This FAQ relates to the downloadable Easy Internet WYSIWYG Web Builder available from http://www.easyinternetsolutions.co.uk/wsb

This FAQ is intended for use by customers hosted by Easy Internet Solutions on their cPanel servers such as those operated by http://www.freevirtualservers.com

  • If you are using the old free downloadable website builder which was discontinued in February 2007 (and has a version number of between 7 and 9), you are advised to the new version which can be downloaded for FREE from http://www.easyinternetsolutions.co.uk/wsb/download.
    If the title bar of the web site builder is labelled "WYSIWYG Web Builder - Easy Internet Edition", then you have the new version.
  • Create the pages in the Web Site Builder and save them to your computer. Please ensure that your home/index/main page is called index
  • From the menu at the top, click File and then select Publish
  • The following box labelled "Publish Web Site" will appear: The Publish Window
  • If you have already setup a a publish location, you should just be able to click "Publish" to publish. If not, click on the "Add..." button on the top right
  • The following box should then appear:
    My Site
    http://www.EXAMPLE.COM
    ftp.EXAMPLE.COM
    USERNAME
    *******
    /public_html/


    Please use the following settings:
    Description: (this can be anything you like)
    URL: http://www.EXAMPLE.COM (where example.com is your domain name)
    Type: Remote
    Host: ftp.EXAMPLE.COM (where example.com is your domain name)
    Port: 21 Username: USERNAME (where USERNAME is your cPanel/FTP username)
    Ensure that "Anonymous" is NOT ticked
    Password: (your password as used to login to the cPanel control panel)
    Folder: /public_html/
    If "Use Passive Mode For Transfers" is off, your uploads will be a bit faster but may not always work (dependent on your network configuration and firewall). Try turning it on if you have problems publishing your files.
  • Click the "OK" button
  • Ensure the details you have just selected are highlighted in the "Publish Web Site" box
  • Ensure that "Pages to publish" is set to "Publish: Entire Web Site"
  • Click "Publish"
